Dr Daisy Bennett is the Chief Medical Officer for L’Oreal UK and Ireland, the world’s largest Beauty Company. She is on the Task Force and Working Group at The Cosmetic, Toiletry and Perfumery Association, helping to shape and influence UK, European regulation ensuring a trusted, safe and responsible UK industry.
She is a practising NHS and private GP and qualified from the world-renowned Guys and St Thomas’s Hospitals, London. She has been practising medicine for over 15 years and has a degree in medicine and surgery, as well as Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners.
She is active in medico-politics as the divisional treasurer of the British Medical Association (BMA) and as a BMA representative represents over 153,000 doctors in the UK. Through this role, she is involved in shaping health care policy in the UK.
She answers medical questions on the LBC Health Hour on Tuesday evenings with Clive Bull and regularly appears on SKY News to discuss topical medical issues.
She is also passionate about producing the next generation of top doctors, in her role as Lead GP Tutor and Examiner for medical students at Imperial College, London.
In her spare time she loves to play tennis and dabbles in golf. She enjoys travelling and loves to experience different cultures. She adores opera, theatre and in total contrast enjoys watching her favourite football team Chelsea.
Her Father was a Doctor and her Mother was a broadcaster, so it was inevitable that one day she would enter the world of medical broadcasting. She has two daughters who keep her on her toes!
