Valerie Boffy, a French-born luxury brand executive, philanthropist and Everest summiteer is the founder of Waft.
Firmly believing in the transformative power of fragrance, she saw an opportunity to breathe life into the disappearing craft of personalised perfume through the power of technology. Her vision was to put the skills the world’s leading perfumers at the service of individual consumers. To turn the dream of a few, privileged people into everybody’s reality.
After majoring in Economics in Paris, Valerie went on to enjoy a highly successful international business career working her way up to worldwide Executive Director for luxury brands such as Estee Lauder, Bally and Cartier.
Currently based in Singapore, where she lives with her husband and two sons, Valerie is a true adventurer at heart. On May 12th, 2012 she became the 6th French woman in history to summit Mount Everest (8,848 m – 29,029 ft)
She strongly believes that with good fortune comes a sense of responsibility. So she applied the same determination and drive which took her to the roof of the world to make a difference in the life of others.
Women on a Mission, the non-profit organisation which Valerie founded, lends a hand to those who are deprived of most basic rights: the right to live in peace and happiness with their loved ones, the right to education and self-accomplishment and the right to live with respect and decency. The right to dream.
